Annapurna Circuit Trekking is known as one of the best hiking destinations in the world and offers an incredible experience to hikers. This trek shares all that Nepal has to offer. Many Annapurna circuit treks start from Besisahar, but nowadays, because of the roadways, trekkers drive directly to Chamje or Syange. Heading through the rugged trail, it reaches Manang village. Tibetan Buddhism has a significant influence on it.

The climb over Thorong La Pass reaches an elevation of 17,769 ft and is a challenging yet beautiful highlight of the trip. Trekkers have the opportunity to view the Himalayan range as Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), Manaslu (8163m), Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, Himchilu, Tukuche Peak, and Tilicho Peak, among others.

Muktinath, on the other side of the Annapurna region, is a sacred place for Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Muktinath Temple is the central attraction here. Then, heading through the Kali Gandaki gorge, the trek joins the Ghorepani Poon Hill via a natural hot spring in Tatopani. The sunrise view and mountain views are breathtaking.

Following the trail, it reaches Nayapul and drives to Pokhara. Oak, rhododendron, and other sub-tropical to alpine vegetation in flora and wild animals such as mountain goats, leopards, and jackals, birds such as pheasants, and long-tail birds in the fauna are found in the round Annapurna trekking. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this trekking, which is almost impossible in the winter or becomes extremely adventurous due to the heavy icefall.

To trek with experienced guides and at a competitive price, contact Rugged Trails Nepal. To make your journey simple and cheaper, there are fixed departure dates available for the Annapurna Circuit Trek. If your vacation period is short in Nepal and you are not able to do the whole circuit trekking, then you can pick the Short Annapurna Circuit (Annapurna Panoramic) trek.

This is a 19-day Annapurna Circuit trek with Ghorepani Poon Hill, but we can add Tilicho Lake or extend up to Annapurna Base Camp.

Reviews

  • Outstanding experience!

    - Ralf and Sandra, Germany

We were in December and January 2017/18 in Nepal on the road and have received an all-inclusive package for 4 weeks. Our guides for Kathmandu and for trekking were phenomenal, the organization excellent. We felt very welcome and familiar. Many Thanks! Originally in the German language visit our Tripadvisor link.

  • “Eine Lebenserfahrung!”

    - Christin, Austria

  • “An experience of a lifetime!” Annapurna Circuit Trekking

    - Elisabeth, Austria

This was my first trekking experience and I could not have imagined it any better! I spontaneously decided to join a friend on the Annapurna Circuit Poon Hill, which she had already booked ahead of time. Nirajan was very flexible and helpful and even supported me when my credit card and ATM card didn't work.

The trek was perfectly organized and we had an amazing guide and a great porter. I'm sure it's manageable to do the trek on your own, but I would definitely suggest going with a porter and having the trip organized by Rugged Trails Nepal. For once some places on the way have only limited availability and a guide can book a room ahead, but also while going with a porter you will learn about the culture, scenery, and customs of Nepal in a way you could never by simply using a guidebook.

You will also have the chance to get in contact with the local people on the way. Our guide equipped us with a lot of background information and pointed out interesting facts and sights we would have missed otherwise. Nirajan picks his guides carefully and you are guaranteed to be taken the best possible care of! Even before and after the trek, Nirajan took the time to show us around and teach us many many interesting things about Nepali culture, language, society, politics, and history!

We had an amazing time and a blast! We will definitely come back and will do another trip with Rugged Trails in the future! Thank you so much Nirajan for everything! We enjoyed every second of it!
