The Great Annapurna Trekking Trail or the Annapurna Viewpoint Trek with Annapurna Base Camp, is the longest and newest trekking package crafted by the Rugged Trails Nepal team. The Annapurna Circuit, the longest trek in the Annapurna region above the alpine zone, features the challenging Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters. However, the Circuit has been impacted by road construction, making it less appealing for some.
To offer an alternative with exceptional viewpoints, we created the Annapurna Viewpoint Trek, incorporating the immensely popular Annapurna Base Camp. This trek explores the foothills of the Annapurna region, showcasing breathtaking panoramas from locations like Mohare Danda, Poon Hill, Khopra Danda, Mulde Hill, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, and Korchan Danda (also known as Khumai Danda).
The Annapurna Viewpoint Trek is longer than typical trekking packages. If you're seeking an extended Annapurna trekking adventure, this is an ideal choice. While challenging, it's suitable for beginners as it gradually increases in elevation. This trek will rejuvenate you by exploring the best of the Annapurna foothills. Each day begins with stunning Himalayan peaks bathed in sunlight and concludes with mesmerizing sunsets.

This Great Annapurna Trekking Trail package is perfect for those with ample vacation time, especially retirees who appreciate this type of trekking experience. Viewpoints and the Base Camp area can become crowded during peak season, but the trails are generally less congested than those leading to Everest Base Camp. The Annapurna region boasts diverse trekking routes, and this itinerary combines the best of them. If you're familiar with Nepal's teahouse trekking system, you won't be surprised. However, if you're new to trekking in Nepal, you can be confident that accommodations, food, water, and electricity are easily accessible.
We are confident in our offerings as our team leaders have extensively explored these trekking destinations. The Annapurna Foothills Circuit Trek, a previous creation, garnered positive reviews and suggestions. Based on this feedback, we've added Annapurna Base Camp, a must-visit for adventurers. After experiencing the best viewpoints of the Annapurna Foothills, skipping Annapurna Base Camp would be a missed opportunity.
Consider this the "Great Annapurna Trekking Trail," a more extended and comprehensive experience compared to other packages. The best part of this route encompasses the region's natural beauty, with spring offering vibrant rhododendron blooms. Autumn is another excellent time to trek in the Annapurna region and throughout the Nepal Himalayas. This trek serves as an excellent alternative to the Annapurna Circuit within the Annapurna Conservation Area. We will handle all arrangements, including trekking permits, accommodations, meals, guides, and porters. While we can arrange accommodations with attached bathrooms in some places, most will have shared bathrooms with private rooms. The highest point of the trek is Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 meters (14,764 feet).
If you find the entire route too demanding, don't worry. We've listed each destination separately. Simply inform us of the viewpoints and destinations you wish to explore, and we will customize the perfect holiday package for you. At Rugged Trails Nepal, none of our team leaders are desk-bound. We actively explore Nepal to stay updated on trekking routes, destinations, cultural events, and new experiences.
