Ghandruk Road Blocked, But Trekking Trails Remain Open for ABC and Ghorepani
July 14, 2026 — Annapurna Trail Update: Please note that vehicular access along the Nayapul–Birethanti–Ghandruk road is currently disrupted. Flash floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains in the Kimrong Khola and Modi River have washed away a paved section of the road near Syauli Bazar. As a result, direct jeep and car transportation to Ghandruk village is temporarily halted while local authorities work on emergency repairs and alternative routes.
Important Note for Trekkers: While vehicular traffic is blocked, footwear trekking trails remain completely open. If you are heading out on foot towards Ghandruk, Ghorepani–Poon Hill, or further up into the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) route, your itinerary is unaffected by the road closure.
We advise all travelers to stay updated on local weather conditions, expect potential delays if you rely on road transport before/after your trek, and coordinate closely with your guides.
