  • 4 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Following a last-minute decision to escape from Singapore during a long weekend I enquired with Rugged Trails Nepal if it would be manageable to reach the Annapurna Base Camp in 4 days. From the first time I contacted them by Email I got a very quick response back from Nirajan and very quickly we were looking at the options available. We agreed that as long as I wasn't shy to extend the walking hours a bit each day it would be feasible, so I signed up for it and Nirajan took care of everything from my arrival in Nepal at Kathmandu to my transfer by plane to Pokhara and by Jeep to the trail starting point. With only about a week notice everything was organized, and despite a late arrival from my side due to a delayed international flight, Nirajan was waiting at Kathmandu and transferred me to Pokhara without any issue. From Pokhara, I carried on with my guide Indra who has been amazing all the way. Despite some logistical setbacks due to Monsoon road conditions we made it to the trail as planned and set off to ABC. It took us 2 days to reach the ABC, the first day was a tough (hot) and reasonably long hike, but the second day was pretty reasonable and we made it to ABC by 3 pm
Despite the monsoon season, we were blessed with great views in the morning before heading back down- with 2 easy days hiking we were back to where we stated and even made it to Pokhara in the evening to enjoy a nice dinner and the beautiful walk by the lake.
The following morning Indra took the time to show me around Pokhara to get a feel for the city before seeing me off back to Kathmandu where Nirajan took the time to show me around Kathmandu before seeing me off.
All together the Rugged trail Nepal team has been awesome, communication was great and I felt really looked after all the way, they truly went beyond what I would have expected to be helpful all the way and left me with amazing memories and pictures of a 6 days trip (from Singapore and back).

  • Makes Everything easy

Went on a solo trek (Mardi Himal) and the company made everything super easy from start to finish... which was a luxury for me since I’m used to trying to figure out everything myself and booking buses, taxis, hotels, doing permits, etc... definitely worth the money to just put everything into someone else’s hands and relax. Mardi Himal could be done without a guide, but for me as a solo traveler it was nice to have one (he was super fun and funny as well), and the hotels before and after the trek were suppper nice as well. I felt really well taken care of and definitely recommend this company for anyone wanting to put their trip into someone else’s (very capable) hands and enjoy nature in Nepal.

  • Three Days Kathmandu Valley Trek

My daughter and I signed up for a three day trekking experience in the Kathmandu valley with Rugged Trails Nepal. I particularly liked that it was a private tour with our own guide and porter. In that manner the trip was more flexible and customized with our particular situation and desires. Nirjan, the manager, organized the entire tour including our lodging and meals. We kept in contact easily through WhatsApp.

We had a wonderful time! Our guide, Dipak, and our porter, Shankar, were extremely professional and a pleasure to have accompany us. When we got stuck in the poring rain, Dipak was able to miraculously arrange transportation so that we could get to our next hotel before nightfall. I would highly recommend Rugged Trails to help organize all of your travels in Nepal.

  • Wonderful Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Our trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill was magnificent. We were picked up at hotel by our excellent guide Shrawan. We already had met him the day before where he explained the trek to us and also gave us a map of the trekking district which was very nice start! We drove to Ulleri in a 4wheel drive which was a beautifull ride (18 years ago we hiked up the steps but the road now goes to Ulleri). porter was also nice person and helped in the lunch and dinner places. The guesthouse on the trek were excellent and food on the trek was also very good. Duringthe trek our guide Shrawan explained many things and he was also a very pleasant person. We took our 2 daughters of 16 and 13 and it turned out they were more fit than we.....Truly would recommend Rugged Trails Nepal.

  • Yoga Trekking to EBC

It has been some years I want to have trekking in Nepal. When I retired last years, I join the Yoga Trekking to EBC from Rugged Trials Nepal. I have my journey with my wife. We start our first trip from Kathmandu to  Pokhara and then Mardi Himal that took one week. We were so shocking when we saw the Machhapuchhre (fish tail) one morning . The mountain shines  under the sun like it is covered with gold. It is amazing. It was a wonderful trip. After that we had a two weeks Yoga trekking to EBC. During that trek, we ran through high mountains, glaciers, rocking falling pass and lakes. We never imagine the scenery are so great and unforgetable. Our guide Mr. Indra are so professional . He took care all of our teammates ( total eight from all over the world) and show us the wonderful scenery. The Yoga Master is also a good tutor to guide us perform yoga during the trip. It was an amazing trekking I never forget. Thank to Rugged Trails Nepal, we enjoy this trip so much and much thanks to our guide, assistant guide and all porters.

  • Unexpected Everest Yoga Trek Experience

In October 2018, I visited Nepal again and again in this beautiful and special place. It was my second time on the Rugged Trails Nepal. This time it was very special. I took a yoga walk. At first, I just wanted to go hiking after doing yoga in the morning. I didn't think too much. But when I started to walk on yoga, I slowly realized that it is a good arrangement to do yoga every morning after yoga. Because there are many lacing movements in the yoga movement, it helps to walk. Every time you do yoga, you are in a different environment. When you do yoga in an environment with beautiful scenery and snowy mountains, there is really a sense of peace and relaxation. The natural beauty of the different snow mountains can be seen every day on the 18-day trek. The daily travel time is not too long. Getting to the Guest House daily has plenty of time to rest. And everyone gathers dinner every night, just like a big family, sharing stories. Thanks to the Everest Base Camp Yoga Trekking arranged by Rugged Trails Nepal, this is really an unforgettable experience, and Nirajan has all the careful and professional arrangements.
