The difficulty of the trek depends on the region and the trek that you choose for. The difficulty of the trek ranges from Easy to Strenuous. While the easy trek requires little or no past experience in trekking, the strenuous trip requires a very good physical fitness and may require some form of training or experiences as well.
A normal day in a trek requires you to walk at least 6 to 7 hours per day approximately but again this depends entirely on the ability and fitness of the clients and the distance.
In case there is a need for rescue whilst on the trek, the clients will have to immediately inform the guide who will inform us here in Kathmandu. We will inform you insurance agent and upon receiving written confirmation from the insurance company, we provide all the necessary service required for rescue and evacuation. Once the clients are in Kathmandu, they can pay by their credit card for the service and claim it with the insurance company for which we will provide all the necessary documentation.
The two types of trekking, the tea house, and the camping are two different ways of experiencing the Himalayas. While the tea house is more comfortable and easier with less staff, the camping trek carries the true essence of the trekking experience where the staff will prepare all the meals and the nights will be spent in camps. The cost for the camping treks is higher compared to the tea house for various reasons such as transferring all the food, kitchen and camping types of equipment which requires more porters and more staff.
AMS mean Acute Mountain Sickness. It is generally known as altitude sickness which results due to the less amount of oxygen on higher elevation. While our trips are designed in a way for you to have adequate altitude acclimatization there are chances that some of the clients may not be able to gain the full acclimatization. In such cases, it is possible for the clients to feel like vomiting, headache, nausea. To add to that, take a time to acclimatize because many trekkers are bound to experience some degree of altitude sickness especially when hiking at an altitude of 3,000m. The trick is to walk slowly, drink lots of water and stay alert. If something is wrong or you're not feeling good, it's best to consult with guides. They will have a first aid kit handy if you're suddenly taken ill during your trek.

Nepal has four season Autumn(Sept-Nov), Winter (Dec-Feb), Spring(Mar-May) and Summer(Jun-Aug). The Autumn season is considered to be the best for traveling in Nepal. The foods prepared during the trek at the lodges are safe as they are meant to be served for the tourist and most of the lodges take measure to keep it hygienic. While on a camping trek, every measure is taken to ensure the food are prepared hygienically most of which will be organic food. The clients are expected to carry water drop for their regular use. Since we discourage use of bottled water, the lodges can provide boiled water throughout the trek for which the clients can pay as little as USD 1.

TIMS stands for Trekker’s Information Management System. TIMS is issued jointly by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) jointly in order to keep proper records of trekkers traveling to different areas in Nepal. This helps the concerned authorities to keep track of the trekkers traveling and will be required mainly in cases where evacuation and rescue will be necessary. Another reason TIMS is important is to discourage the illegal trekking operators to run trekking illegally.
