  • What do you suggest for people who haven't been or willing to go Nepal.

      Go, discover, experience and enjoy.

Go online and read the blogs. Get the Rough Guides and Lonely Planets and read about the treks and other activities. Do your homework and then book your guide and porter. I was lucky that Nirajan, of Rugged Trails Nepal, messaged me while I was on his website and we were able to "chat" online and work out the best trek for us, for the time we had and what we wanted to see. It really takes all the worry away, and any questions or concerns were answered straight away. Nepal and the Nepalese people are absolutely wonderful.

Bring food as it is not so much diversified food on the trek. I want to enjoy my trek, not to do adventure on my trek. That is the point

Would still like to glimpse Everest. Just because it's there, and it IS the biggest, after all! Personally, another time I would not do the cities and would spend more time on the trek

  • Is Nepal expensive than other countries you visited?

    • noimage

Nepal is not expensive but within the years it's getting more expensive because of tourism.

  • Nepal from your eyes after visiting Nepal.

Nepal is the most beautiful country in the world. It has the beauty of the mountains, nature, religion, culture, people and spirit.

We were very glad that we had organized our guide and porter through Rugged Trails Nepal before we left the UK, as the noisy madness of Kathmandu is a bit of a shock to the system after the long flights from the UK! As it was, everything was organized for us and all we had to do was enjoy Nepal. The history and culture of the cities are fascinating and well worth looking at the ancient buildings (earthquake damage being repaired) But for me, the bus journey to Pokhara through the countryside, and the mountains coming into view through the morning mist from our hotel rooftop was just sensational. Nothing prepares you for that first glimpse of those snowy peaks! Lovely kind, helpful people, always smiling, adorable children, beautiful villages, awesome mountains. Everything I could have wished for.
