On this day everywhere in the street, and temples people will bonfires and feasts of food are put out for all. Most people spend the whole night staying at bonfires. There is a scientific reason to burn the fire and stay around the fire on the day of Shivaratri. To absorb and maintain our body for summer it is believed that bonfires will help.
Be careful before taking LADDU, SWEETS, or any kind of special Lassi (milkshake) on these days, these taste really yummy but it might be worse. Don't Carry valuable things such as your passports, credit cards, and any items which are valuable.
